Problems abound in all sectors over soaring fuel costs.
UPS, for instance, says its fuel costs leaped 45.3 percent between the second quarter of 2004 and the same time in 2005. The State of Utah is looking at a budget increase of $685,000 to deal with increasing gas prices. Neighboring New Mexico anticipates that the state will pay $2.1 million more for fuel this year. And, Murphy Transportation, a New Jersey company with contracts locked in place for school bus services, expects their $1.5 million fuel bill of last year to increase by $4-6 million this year.
But, solutions abound in the alternative fuels sector.
The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute and Arizona Clean Cities are ushering in a bold new era for fleets in need of solutions to rising fuel costs. "Fueling Economic Solutions" is the theme and primary emphasis of the Clean Cities Congress and Expo 2006. How to maintain lower fuel costs, increase miles per gallon, and reduce budget and cash flow exposure will be explained and demonstrated throughout the May 7th-10th Congress in Phoenix, Arizona. The 2006 focus is on attracting new and current customers for one-stop information and product shopping.
