The General Session kicks off with JJ Brown’s Look at the Energy Bill. In August 2005, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was signed into law. This is the first major federal energy legislation since 1992. The new law includes a maze of incentives related to fuels and advanced technology vehicles. JJ Brown will present the transportation fuels and technologies provisions, and offer strategies for how fleets can gain the most financial benefit form the new law.

Then, a public private partnership is profiled, resulting in the world's sixth largest airport, SuperShuttle, airport customers, and residents of the Phoenix Metropolitan area all emerging as winners. SuperShuttle has been around for more than 20 years and provides service to 23 airports around the country. The Phoenix airport has set an industry standard for the use of alternative fuels. And, it's a standard from which others can profit.

Finally Jim Kenzie, chief Auto Reviewer, Toronto Star, will provide a 2006 Auto Industry Review
