9:00 - 12:00   Workshop 2: Green Power: California Funding for Alternative Fuels
The Clean Air Act allows California to adopt motor vehicle emissions standards that are more protective than federal minimum standards. For decades California has taken a leadership role in developing strict standards that will result in the deployment of fuels and transportation technologies that will reduce vehicles’ global warming emissions. This workshop provides an introductory overview of regulations and voluntary measures for fleets, and then moves into a comprehensive review of funding sources. New Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach funding priorities and processes will be discussed. Representatives will be on hand from the various funding agencies to answer questions.
